Commissions

“Recently I purchased a painting of a nest with four eggs in it. I love how Andie worked with me to get the colors to perfectly match our bedroom decor. The painting is a timeless classic and I’m so happy that I splurged on something pretty to look at when I wake up. Buying a painting that has meaning is something you never regret and I highly recommend considering one of Andie’s custom pieces.” - Krista Wells

Are you looking for something specifically made for you? I love working with collectors and designers to create that special museum-quality painting that creates the mood of a space. I have worked with clients in an on-demand basis for 25 years – as a graphic designer and fine artist – so I am practiced in working to a plan and sticking to a timeline.

Here’s how it works:

First: Contact me by emailing andie@andiefreeman.com. Tell me about your project, size needs, color needs and subject. I am happy to help you work through your thoughts to get to a desired outcome. If you would like to chat on the phone or send photos of the space/ colors, etc, I am happy to see them!

Next: I will respond with a quote for the painting, a timeline for the project, and a summary of the commission within 48 hours. I will also provide a link for you to pay the 50% non-refundable deposit for work to begin. Once the deposit is received, I can begin work on your gorgeous custom painting.

During the Painting Process: I will send you emails during the process to give you updates on how the painting is developing. Once the painting is finished, I will send an email with an image for your final approval. I will send you an invoice for the remaining 50% plus shipping. When the balance is received and the painting is dry enough to ship (about 5-10 days after completion), I will package it and ship it to your home. Feel free to contact me for advice about hanging and placement and make sure to take a photo of it so I can show off what we have created!

Are you an Interior Decorator or Designer? I would love to work with you for your client's needs and can provide special pricing. Please contact me at andie@andiefreeman.com to hear how I work with designers and about my art rental opportunity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I send you a fabric swatch or paint chip to incorporate a color into the piece?

Yes! I am happy to see your swatches, mail them to Andie Freeman Fine Art, 716 Averroe Drive, Apex, NC 27502.

Will I know what my painting will look like before it’s commissioned?

I assume that you have contacted me for work because you have seen my art and like the style I paint. That aside, I will also email a sketch to give you a rough idea of what the piece will look like when it’s completed. Sometimes, depending on the project, I might send a couple of sketches for us to discuss the direction and then a final rough sketch to commit to the painting.

How long will the painting take?

Typically 6-8 weeks. I have a lot of projects and paintings going at once, so depending on my current projects, there might be a waiting list but that will be communicated clearly ahead of the project.

How is the painting shipped?

If you live in the Raleigh area, I would love to have the opportunity to meet in person. I can either bring the work to your home for installation or you can visit me in my studio. If you do not live locally, I will ship your painting using UPS or FedEX and will communicate about price and arrival times. All work is insured for the total retail price.

Do you have a guarantee?

I know you will love your painting, especially since we will have communicated a lot before work has even begun and you will see a photo just before the painting ships. However, I provide a 100% happiness guarantee. So you only keep the painting if you love it!
