Palmetto Parent was a magazine my husband and I co-founded in Columbia, SC. Although we were young and overwhelmed as new parents, it is still a product I am very proud of. It served a wonderful purpose in a city that had no other similar products at the time. We produced bi-monthly, (later monthly) magazines, distributing 40,000 copies with only one other paid employee in sales. We proudly provided quality writing and information for the families in and around Columbia.
